Sterling Silver Encaustic Tile Earrings
Incorporating ceramic from an original Palace of Westminster floor tile, this unique pair of sterling silver earrings are a wearable link to the political past of the United Kingdom. Designed by the Victorian architect A.W.N. Pugin, the tiles have been walked upon some of the country's most renowned politicians, as well as kings, queens and foreign dignitaries.
Presented in a gift box and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, the earrings have been made by skilled jewellers using a combination of sterling silver and a section of encaustic tile removed from the Houses of Parliament as part of a restoration project.
